Guys, today will be the last day for the PPF DM&GF Tournament 2012 Qualifiers.
To those who missed their chance during the last two weeks, this is it!
Tourney marshals will be at Timezone/Club Synergy Megamall from 1pm-7pm.

After the 3rd week of the PPF Drum Mania & Guitar Freaks Tournament, the Qualifier Round has officially ended.

For the next phase of the tournament, please stand by for our announcements. We are currently making adjustments for the next phase based on the number of participants.

Due to the resulting turnover of participants, we have decided to adjust the qualifying system for both Guitarfreaks and Drummania to be fair to everyone who participated.

For Guitarfreaks, we have adjusted the qualifying slots to 8 instead of the previous 24. Top 8 players based on Skill Points regardless of qualifying week will advance to the Quarter Final Rounds; there will be no Knockout rounds for Guitarfreaks and as such, participants can use the spare week to practice or rest. Quarter Final Rounds for Guitarfreaks will resume on November 10 at the PPF Anniversary EB event-cum-Tournament Finals.

The following participants for the Guitarfreaks tournament are required to return on November 10 for the Quarter Final Rounds:

Tournament proper will start at exactly 1 PM so participants are advised to show up at Club Synergy, Megamall at least 30 minutes before the tournament starts for attendance. Failure to show up will forfeit the player's slot with his/her opponent advancing by default. Match-ups and songs to be played will be announced on the day itself.

For Drummania, we have adjusted the qualifying slots to 16 instead of the previous 24. Top 16 players based on Skill Points regardless of qualifying week will advance to the Knockout Rounds on November 3.

The following participants for the Drummania tournament are required to return on November 3 for the Knockout Rounds:

As much as possible, we would like the tournament to proceed without any interruptions. As such, participants are recommended to eat their meals/take bathroom breaks in advance. Players will be given periodic breaks after each round.

We have an update for the DM Division Knockout Round.
Robert Bautista has flown back to Singapore. Therefore, we have decided to give the 16th spot of the Knockout Round to the player with the 17th rank from the Qualifiers. Congratulations, Fayanne Lim!

Also, we still need confirmation from the following participants if they would be able to attend the DM Division Knockout Round:

Another update for the DM Knockout Round.
As of today, Carlo Montenegro has also dropped out of the tournament. In turn, that will now allow Femi Acelo to join the DM Knockout Round.

We're almost done with confirming the participation of the Knockout Round players. We still need confirmation from Ramil Sumbillo. Please send a reply personally by SMS or message us in Facebook. Thanks!

We would also like to remind participants that the Quarter, Semi, and Grand Finals of the tournament will be on November 10, 2012 at SM Megamall.

Lastly, we are happy to announce that the prizes for the tournament have been decided.
All Quarter Finalists will receive a PPF button pin and a certificate of participation.
Non-winning Semi-finalists will be given Starbucks GC's for their effort.
Runner-up of the Grand Finals will earn a pair of SoundMAGIC PL11 earphones.
And the grand winner of the tournament will be rewarded a Belkin laptop bag and the title of PPF DM and/or GF 2012 Tournament Champion.

This will be the format for the Quarter, Semi, and Grand Finals of the PPF DM&GF Tournament 2012.
Based on their rank on the Knockout Round, players will be matched as follows:
Rank 1 vs Rank 8
Rank 2 vs Rank 7
Rank 3 vs Rank 6
Rank 4 vs Rank 5

The remainder of the tournament will follow the flow of a regular single-elimination tournament, wherein, if one player gets less skill points than their opponent, they will be eliminated.
