Regarding the overall budget for this year's outing, unfortunately may onting problema tayo. Since we are planning to occupy the Suites near the Gazebo, mas mapapamahal tayo. To give you guys an idea, eto ang isang simple breakdown ng possible expenses natin for the 3D2N stay:
"Borderline" attendance: 24 persons (estimate ng mga confirmed na sasama)
Suite rates per night: 2625
2 double bunks per suite, good for 4-8 persons
Kung 4 persons per room, 6 rooms tayo as initially planned:
(2625 / 4 pax) x 2 nights = 1312 pesos
In comparison dun sa Dorms that we usually rent out:
Dorm rates per night: 5250
5 double bunks, good for 10-20 persons
Kung 24, that'll be 2 dorms, 12 persons each.
-> (5250 / 12 pax) x 2 nights = 875 pesos
Between those two options, we are looking at a difference of around 450+, medyo considerable sya.
Now, the question is, are you willing to shell out an extra 450+ pesos for the sake of much more comfortable lodgings? Eto ang pros and cons nyang 2 options:
Option A (Suites)
Pros
- rooms are spacier, not congested; better, cooler air conditioning
- rooms come with a balcony facing a nice lakeside view (ok sa smokers siguro)
- each person stays on a bed of his/her own, guaranteed
- bathrooms are only shared by 4 people per room - cleaner
- mas malapit sya sa pools
Cons
- convenience and comfort comes at a cost of 450+ pesos
- malayo sa Wi-Fi access point (near the dorms)
Option B (Dorms)
Pros
- very accessible Wi-Fi access point
- lots of people share a common room (nice din naman)
- newly-renovated bathrooms and fixtures
Cons
- more people means more congested dorms (pero not as congested as before)
- 12 people need to share one common bathroom per dorm
- only 10 bunks per dorm, so 4 people have no choice but to share 2 beds with each other (medyo unfair dahil yung 8 tao, solo nila ang kama)
So there you have it. Isa pang nagpapamahal sa expenses this year is, yung individual patakan ng attendees for the Outing Kit (200 pesos each). One time lang naman sya, pero 200 pesos is still a considerably large amount.
Also, take note na wala pa dyan yung 50 pesos na entrance fee for use of facilities, and the corkage fees. Total siguro nun combined, asa 100-150 pesos per head, so dadagdag nyo pa yun.
