Singapore PPF Getaway Proposal

Breakdown of budget
Flight: $250 (Estimated P5850 flight + 1650 Tax + 750 Term Fee = P8250 @ P33/SGD1)
Lodging: S75 ($25 per day x 4D/3N days w/ bfast)
... Transpo: $20 (MRT card + load)
Food: $50 (Bfast covered 0 + Lunch 5 + Snack 2.5 + Dinner 5 = $12.5 x 4days)
SIM card + load: $25 (for each one's communication - be sure to bring an open-line phone)
Games + Extras: $30 (2 games per $2.5 x 4 = $10 @ 8 games; $20 extra play money/emergency money)

Total: $450 @ P33 = P15K
*You are still encouraged to bring extra money for any pasalubong or extra shopping money.

Itinerary Plan: (4 days - best if Friday to Monday)
Day 1 - Fly in to SG (best if AM); settle bags at the hostel; freetime until dinner
Day 2 - Breakfast at hostel; a little sightseeing before malls open; 11am malltime and lunch; freetime until dinner
Day 3 - Breakfast; sightseeing; foodtrip/shopping day; can still play (optional); dinner and pack-up stuff
Day 4 - Breakfast; preparation to go to airport; fly back to Manila

Scheduling: When will be the best for you?
Summer - March/April/May
Sembreak - October/November
Christmas - December

I think we have a consensus to hold this event during the SITEX weekend (November 23-25)... Let us know here if you have any comments, suggestions, any reactions to this... also if some arrangements are needed to avail of tickets, lodging, etc.

I also propose a Wild Wild Wet as one of the activities. Masaya dito eh Basically para siyang Splash Island, but way way better Entrance is 15 Singapore Dollars last I checked.. So that's about P500.

Well I hope by November, since this is the start of the Holiday peak season, those rides will already be available...

But if we are to go to WWW and USS on our trip, I think we need to decide on only one venue since these activities are time-consuming and would normally take a day...

The problem now would lie on the price since clearly, USS is way more expensive than WWW (like x5)... so we also need to decide on that with the consensus of everyone

Voting for AFA weekend for a couple of reasons

1) Based on previous years, some PPF (and Antarctica) members went to the AFA event itself (either for business or pleasure, or both).

2) Since mostly Japanese media-oriented tayo sa PPF, the biggest Asian anime convention would really be something that most of us would be looking forward to.

Oh, and a reminder to all:

Magdala kayo ng extra money para sa FOOD. Medyo mahal ang mga masasarap na pagkain dun *ehem McDo ehem*, 24 hours open pa *ehem McDo ehem* so dala na extra para di maiwan sa pansitan (yep, puro noodles dun).

So far, umiikot lang sa 2nd or 3rd week of November ang AFA, so I think it's safe to assume that it would be on the 16-18th...

Yup, most likely ganun na nga ang skeds kasi SITEX normally follows AFA based on previous years... But let's see...

With this, is it best to decide sooner agad, or let's wait for a few weeks/months before we decide on the date, so we can already purchase flight tickets...

Ako alangan sa week before 23 kasi birthday ng kapatid ko. Also it would be nice kung magpopost yung mga interested sumama.

Ok so that's one strong reason to push through with the SITEX weekend then Let's see... I'll have the poll here until the end of the month, let's decide first week of Feb.

For the meantime, we can start planning the little details of our trip... okay na ba kayo sa general itinerary natin? Meron pa ba kayong gustong isingit na activities? For sure, tuloy na yang mga foodtrip natin, and kung may mga interested umikot at magshop, pwede rin!
